Michael Reilly Three varied tracks showcasing a diversity of approaches, but always maintaining a very affecting and intense character. Love the forceful rock opener, which is supported by two impressive quieter pieces. Favorite track: Maw.
Carsten Pieper

Carsten Pieper This EP shows so many facets: "Maw" is a straightforward rock number (at least for Her Name is Calla), "The Beat..." reminds me of Timesbold or Savoy Grand and "Dreamlands" just is an epic! Favorite track: Dreamlands.

Nathan Hatton I have listened to this EP so many times. 'Dreamlands' is a beast of a track full of haunting beauty, static noise, and void of percussion. Just another reason I love this band. Favorite track: Dreamlands.

Audrey Maw est un titre très surprenant venant un groupe comme Her Name Is Calla. C'est un titre plutôt accessible par rapport au reste de leur répertoire.
Les deux autres titres, eux, illustrent bien le groupe dans toute sa splendeur. Favorite track: Maw.

Maw 03:28
A Pyre's meant for burning and that's just what she'll do There was nothing we could The Mead abets the Maw and writes its sentence out There was nothing I could Fingers fault the loom dancers to the blade There was nothing they could do A briquette diaphragm Drawn taught against the breeze The was nothing you could do
2.
From the waters edge I blow you a kiss. Can't even recall your face, I think I'll go for a swim. Treasure on the ocean floor, I found your skull, I found your warmth. I've no idea how long has passed, I don't remember the way back. The beat that my heart skips tells me that you're still here
3.
Dreamlands 11:47
Where the two fault lines meet Hung from a tree upside down Blood rushing to my head Trying to feed myself Can I worship your body? Live inside your skin? With one hand tight round your heart Sleeping inside your womb Claw marks all over my back Blood rushing to my head A grave, grave of your own Sing me a homecoming tale When do you show your face? Is it in the trees looking down? Roots wrap around our songs and plant seeds. I'll write this down in the morning I did what you asked me. Now I'm not sure that you ever spoke to me at all, Scenes of deep red, green fields and I'm home again But I'm still confused.
